Shoyu is a strong flavour enhancer, the healthy and liquid counterpart of the bouillon cube. Delicious to salt a dish or to enhance the natural flavour of the ingredients. Shoyu consists of fermented soy and wheat. During the long fermentation process, natural enzymes convert the starches, proteins and fats of the raw soy into easily digestible nutrients. Shoyu cannot withstand prolonged heating and tastes delicious with stir-fries, sushi or steamed vegetables.
